About Us

Purpose
To maintain a church fellowship whose pattern is close to that of the early church in the New Testament times and whose primary aim is the propagation of the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Services
These are neither elaborate nor ritualistic. These meetings are orderly and simple so as to honour the Lord in a spiritual way. Worship does not glorify man, but God.
Fellowship
Fellowship of believers is encouraged and promoted. Older men disciple younger men, older women disciple younger women, rightly dividing the Word of God and in basic Christian living.
Speakers
Men provide a variety of ministry according to their gift, speaking not being confined to one man. Ministry is provided by both local brethren and visiting brethren. Elders are available to minister through counsel and other helps.
Observances
Baptism
Jesus said. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. On confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ every Christian should be baptised. The mode of baptism in the New Testament was immersion. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:38; Romans 6:3-4)
Lord’s Supper
The Lord commanded “This do in remembrance of Me.” We gather on the first day of the week (Sunday) to break bread and remember in observance of this command. (Luke 22:19; Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 11:23-26)
Offerings
The Bible teaches stewardship and this is a privilege and a responsibility of every Christian. The financial requirements of the assembly are met by an offering taken at the Worship and Remembrance meeting.
Church Affiliation
We have no denominational affiliations as we recognize only such names as were given to believers in the New Testament. As a New Testament church assembly, names such as “brethren”, “Christians”, “believers”, “saints” scripturally describe all who belong to the church of Jesus Christ. Christ is the head of the church. Similar assemblies meet in all parts of the world. The continuance of these local church testimonies is evidence the Scriptures illuminated by the Holy Spirit are sufficient to guide in all questions which confront the church in each succeeding generation. (Ephesians 1:22; 5:23; Colossians 1:18)
